VNA -Further Processing Shift

Position: VNA -Further Processing 4 on 4 off A Shift Days
Job Purpose:

Supporting the Shift Manager to ensure the effective running of the Chilled Warehouse operation on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation. Ensuring that products are picked according to the production plan in a timely manner to ensure no downtime, working in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, food safety legislation and quality standards specified by our customers. Ensuring an efficient, accurate storage and stock control operation is provided up to the point of distribution to the factory and a clear process off scanning the product at point of return to a location is followed.

VNA Duties:
• Safe placing and picking of pallets from high storage racks
• Close cooperation with the production department, collecting and issuing the necessary products to fulfill orders.
• Adhering to the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle – issuing products with the earliest to expiration date first.
• Ensuring that the goods do not come into contact with contaminants and reporting any damage to bulk packaging.
• Carrying out tasks in cold storage rooms (approx. 2–6C)
• Carrying out the pre-start up inspection on condition of the VNA Truck before starting the shift.
• Reporting any defects in shelving or warehouse infrastructure. Requirements, Experience and

Person Specification:

Key Skills
• Ideally have previous Forklift experience, VNA, Reach or Counterbalance licences
• Experience of working in Warehouse or despatch departments.
• Experienced in scanning
• Familiar with stock systems and or stock taking processes
• Computer literate
• Ability to prioritise, achieve deadlines and make decisions
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Meets QVIP values

Additional Role Requirements
• Role is subject to medical approval
• Able to work at 13 Metre Heights and must go through and meet the requirements of an extensive training programme
