Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant North Birmingham up to £35,000  Benefits Gleeson Recruitment Group is partnering with a large international organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified, finalist, or newly qualified accountant looking to build their technical accounting experience within a complex multi-entity environment. You'll gain exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit, controls, and process improvement while working closely with senior finance stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing Supporting the month-end close process Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Assisting with monthly financial reporting and analysis. Maintaining fixed asset accounting and intercompany reconciliations. Supporting statutory accounts preparation and year-end audits. Assisting with VAT and wider compliance requirements. Improving financial controls, processes and reporting accuracy. Supporting finance transformation and systems improvement projects. About You ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified and actively studying

Experience with in Financial Accounting, Audit, Reporting or Record-to-Report. Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes. Strong Excel and analytical skills.
