Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for your next opportunity?

We're recruiting for an ongoing temporary Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team based in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.

As Assistant Accountant, you'll support the finance function with a range of duties, including:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Completing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Supporting month-end processes
• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger
• Processing invoices and payments
• Using Xero to maintain accurate financial records
• Providing general support to the wider finance team

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Experience using Xero is essential
• AAT qualified or studying towards AAT is desirable
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
