Senior Accountant

Our client, an established independent accountancy practice based in the Hull area, is looking to recruit an experienced practice accountant into a mixed accounts and tax position. The role can be shaped around either a Senior Accountant or Manager, depending on experience, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking career progression alongside genuine flexibility.

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, you will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services. More experienced applicants will also have the opportunity to review work completed by colleagues and support the development of junior team members.

Key responsibilities   Manage a portfolio of owner-managed business clients across a range of sectors.
Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Complete personal and corporate tax returns.
Provide day-to-day accounting and tax advice to clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
Manage your own workload to meet deadlines and deliver a high standard of client service.
Review accounts and tax work where appropriate.
Support and mentor junior members of the team, depending on experience.
Package and working pattern   Salary of £35,000 to £50,000+, depending on experience.
