VAT, corporation tax, customs, transfer pricing, CIS, PSA, Plastic Packaging Tax, Pillar 2. If it’s tax, it’s yours.
The business is a PE-backed, multi-site trade business with branches across the UK. It has more than doubled in size in the last few years and is still growing fast. It’s a big business without the corporate feel. Decisions get made quickly and the finance team has a real voice.
What you’d be doing:- Owning tax reporting and compliance across the group
- Being the go-to tax person for senior leaders across the branch network
- Supporting HMRC Large Business, SAO and the external audit
- Improving processes, including automation and AI
- Tax experience in a large, complex business
- Strong Excel and ERP skills
- Qualified or studying (preferred, not essential)
- Someone who can explain tax to people who don’t work in finance
- Up to £50,000
- Up to 10% bonus
- 3% pension and a benefits platform
- Hybrid, 3 days in the office
