Our Client, a well-established commercial vehicle specialist in Hull, is actively seeking a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. Duties:
Conduct vehicle inspections and repairs in accordance with DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation for testing
Diagnose faults accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
Perform general mechanical and electrical repairs across a variety of commercial vehicles
Attend breakdowns, including offsite repairs, to minimise vehicle downtime
Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring customer vehicles are kept on the road efficiently
Keep detailed records of repair work and assist with ongoing vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent
Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician or HGV Technician
MOT Testing Licence is desirable but not essential
Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to use modern vehicle diagnostics
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining high quality standards
Awareness of Health and Safety regulations relevant to automotive repair environments
Own set of tools suitable for commercial vehicle maintenance
Full UK driving licence
A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to develop technical skills further
