Overview
Adecco are delighted to be supporting an innovative, family‑run service provider seeking a detail‑focused and proactive Quality, Compliance & Governance Officer to join the team in Hull.
This is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance across the business, and supporting operational, technical, and commercial decision‑making.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, processes, and continuous improvement - whether you come from a quality/compliance, audit, or finance background. If you're analytical, structured, and enjoy bringing order and insight to business operations, this role could be an excellent fit.
Please note:
A full UK driving licence is essential, as occasional customer visits and site assessments will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Quality, Compliance & Process Improvement
Maintain, update, and develop the company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Plan, conduct, and document internal audits across operational and administrative areas.
Lead and support non‑conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Oversee the company complaints process from investigation through to resolution and reporting.
Produce accurate compliance reports, dashboards, and audit summaries for management review.
Technical, Safety & Regulatory Support
Carry out COSHH assessments and ensure compliance with safety legislation.
Support Health & Safety standards through documentation, process reviews, and record keeping.
Respond to internal and external technical or compliance‑related queries.
Conduct occasional customer or site visits as part of audits, investigations, or compliance checks.
Stock, Purchasing & Governance
Manage stock ordering, supplier communication, and purchasing aligned to business needs.
Maintain accurate procurement, stock, and compliance documentation.
Apply structured controls, checks, and reporting - ideal for candidates with finance or audit backgrounds who enjoy systems, accuracy, and process integrity.
Skills & Experience Required
Desirable to have experience working with a Quality Management System or structured process framework (e.g., ISO 9001, internal audit, financial controls, governance, or similar).
Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
Confident in reviewing data, identifying trends, and presenting clear findings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Problem‑solving ability with a systematic, methodical approach.
Confidence dealing with complaints, investigations, or audit‑style work.
Full UK driving licence
Experience in a service-based or family‑run business.
Knowledge of COSHH or previous experience conducting assessments.
Purchasing, stock control, or materials management experience.
Any background in compliance, finance, accounts, internal audit, or governance.
