The OpportunityAre you a natural problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment? Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding drainage services provider in the South of the UK, is looking for a dynamic Operations Coordinator to join their vibrant team in Ringwood.
This isn’t just an admin role; it is the “engine room” of the business. You will be responsible for the logistical puzzle of coordinating field engineers, managing emergency call‑outs, and ensuring that every customer receives a five‑star service experience.
The Day‑to‑DayAs the central link between the office and the field, your responsibilities will include:
- Expert Scheduling:
Managing the daily diaries of a team of engineers, prioritising emergency drainage works while maintaining scheduled maintenance appointments. - Route Optimisation:
Planning efficient routes across Hampshire and the South to ensure engineers spend more time on‑site and less time in traffic. - Customer Liaison:
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing real‑time updates on engineer ETAs and resolving any logistical hurdles. - Problem Solving:
Rapidly re‑routing resources to handle urgent, time‑critical tasks without disrupting the wider schedule. - Operational Support:
Ensuring engineers have the correct equipment and information to complete jobs successfully the first time.
We need a candidate who is organised, methodical, and possesses a “can‑do” attitude. You might come from a recruitment, logistics, or fast‑paced customer service background.
- Logistics‑Minded:
You enjoy the challenge of coordinating multiple moving parts and can think three steps ahead. - Resilient:
You remain calm and professional, even when the phone is ringing and the schedule is changing. - Communication Pro:
You can build rapport quickly with both technical field staff and high‑end corporate clients. - Geographical Knowledge: A good understanding of the local geography (Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire) is a distinct advantage.
- Tech Savvy:
You are comfortable picking up new CRM systems and scheduling software quickly.
Our client is known for its close‑knit, supportive culture and commitment to employee growth.
- Competitive Salary:
Up to £29,000 depending on your operational experience. - Career Progression:
Excellent opportunities for ongoing training and professional development. - Work‑Life Balance:
Generous “time off in lieu” for Saturday shifts and an earlier finish on Fridays. - Culture:
Regular team social events and a modern, vibrant working environment.
If you are an organised professional looking for a rewarding role in a growing business, we want to hear from you.
