Overview

The cardiology department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals is staffed with energetic, forward‑looking cardiologists. We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at a purpose‑built £28 million Heart Centre, which includes four cardiac catheter labs equipped with GE Inova 2100 imaging systems, dedicated short‑stay and inpatient wards, a cardiology outpatient and diagnostic department, three cardiothoracic operating theatres, intensive care, high observation and cardiothoracic surgery beds.

The centre benefits from a highly experienced set of cardiac physiologists across both trusts.

Key Responsibilities

Support the regional heart failure service and deliver high‑quality care throughout the centre. The role will involve activities divided between Castle Hill Hospital and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG), including 8 weeks per year as consultant cardiologist of the week for general cardiology.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have a commitment to patient care and may be welcomed with additional expertise in imaging or device implantation. Experience in a multidisciplinary cardiac setting and a proven track record of clinical excellence are desirable.

Position Details

This is a fixed‑term appointment that attracts 10 PA’s. The assignment spans both trusts, with regular travel between sites. The advertised closing date is Wednesday 25 Feb 2026; the advert may close earlier if applications are received in large volume.
