GSL Education are recruiting a compassionate Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with ASC in a structured and nurturing school environment.
Responsibilities- Provide tailored support to pupils with autism
- Assist with sensory regulation and structured routines
- Encourage communication and social development
- Support learning and engagement in lessons
- Work closely with SEN and pastoral teams
- Experience supporting pupils with autism or SEN
- Understanding of autism support strategies
- Patient, consistent and caring nature
- Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
