Teacher Active is proud to be working with a wide network of Secondary Schools across Hull, and we are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to provide high-quality classroom supervision on a day-to-day and longer-term supply basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting schools by delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the teacher’s absence. You won’t be required to plan lessons, allowing you to focus on classroom management, student engagement, and supporting learning.

The Role

Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment

Support students aged 11–16 to stay focused and engaged in their work

Work flexibly across different departments and schools

Adapt confidently to new classrooms and daily challenges

What We’re Looking For

Relevant Teaching qualification or at least 6 months’ experience working with young people

Confidence managing a classroom of students aged 11–16

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A flexible and positive attitude

The ability to build rapport with students quickly
