Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a range of supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Kirklees, who are seeking enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching or education. The role offers invaluable, hands‑on experience working within a classroom environment and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Providing one‑to‑one and small group support to students
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
• Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs
• Helping to prepare teaching resources and learning materials
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

• A recent graduate (any subject considered; core subjects preferred)
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible, and positive approach
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or related fields

Veritas Education works with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions within these.
