Lecturer (Entertainment Technology & Production)

Location: Production Park, UK

Reporting to: Academic Dean

Contract: Open to both full-time and part-time applications

Hours: 40 hours full time per week or 0.6 FTE

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 pro rata (subject to experience and qualifications)

Inspire the next generation of live events professionals. The Academy of Live Technology (ALT) seeks an enthusiastic and industry-connected Lecturer to join our growing academic team. Based at Production Park, Europe’s leading campus for live events and entertainment technology, you will teach and support students across our higher education and short‑course portfolio, helping to develop the next generation of talent for the live events, production, and entertainment industries.

About

the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging practical and theoretical teaching
  • Supporting student projects, assessments, and academic development
  • Providing academic and pastoral support to students
  • Contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance activities
  • Working closely with industry partners to ensure courses remain current and relevant
  • Supporting interdisciplinary collaboration across programmes
About You

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong industry experience within entertainment technology, production, or a related discipline
  • A passion for teaching, mentoring, and student development
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to inspire and engage learners from a range of backgrounds
  • A commitment to maintaining industry knowledge and professional development
  • Previous higher‑education teaching experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with significant industry experience
