The job itself
Fixed Term Teaching Assistant (Level
2) at Dunswell Academy, a small school in Beverley Road, Dunswell. The role is part of a team working with children including those with SEN. We need two posts: one full-time and one part-time.
Salary: £25,583 per year (13.26 per hour), pro‑rata, term time only.
Hours:
- Full‑time:
Monday to Friday 08:45‑12:00 and 12:30‑15:45. - Part‑time:
Monday 08:45‑12:00 and 13:00‑15:45;
Tuesday to Friday 08:45‑12:00.
- Support children with a variety of needs, including SEN and social, emotional and mental health requirements.
- Assist with classroom activities and individual support.
- Follow bespoke education plans.
- Provide a warm, supportive environment and contribute to upskilling opportunities.
- Good level of English and Maths (GSCE or equivalent).
- Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, especially those with additional needs.
Enhanced DBS clearance check required. The position is fixed‑term and term‑time only.
