Wind Turbine Technician - EWT

Overview

Wind Turbine Technician needed to inspect and service onshore wind turbines. Responsible for routine inspections, troubleshooting, simple repairs, and coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to keep turbines operating with minimal downtime. Role involves on-site work, safety leadership, and collaboration with engineering, operations, and control room teams.

• Perform routine inspections of wind turbines at an onshore wind farm.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; implement simple fixes and, when required, coordinate urgent repairs.
• Swap out parts and ensure turbines are back online efficiently, logging all work in maintenance records.
• Lead or participate in special projects (e.g., bringing new turbines online or replacing major components).
• Maintain clear communication with customers on-site, providing timely updates on status and progress.
• Prioritize safety, identify hazards, and ensure all components (nuts, bolts, blades, systems) are properly integrated.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and, when needed, the control room to monitor turbines remotely and share improvement opportunities.

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in wind turbines.
• Comfort working at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Maintenance and repair experience, especially in renewable energy, is advantageous.
• Proficiency with technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and equipment.
