Estimator - Fabrication

Location: Kingston upon Hull

White Label Recruitmnet are currently supporting a long-established engineering manufacturing business in East Yorkshire seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.

The company specialises in complex steel fabrication and engineered assemblies, supplying into industrial and energy-related sectors. They have a strong reputation, established customer base and a healthy order book.

This is a technicaly led role and would suit someone with exposure to fabrication who can confidently interpret drawings and build accurate costings from first principles.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing detailed RFQs and technical documentation

• Producing material take-offs / BOMs from fabrication drawings

• Building full labour and material cost models (platework, welding, bought-out items etc.)

• Liaising with procurement to obtain supplier pricing

• Preparing competitive tenders

• Supporting handover to projects following award

Background

They are open on background, you may have:

• Come through an apprenticeship route in fabrication or welding

• Worked in fabrication / heavy engineering before moving into estimating

• Strong drawing interpretation skills

• Experience building costs for engineered or fabricated products
