Instrument​/Functional Safety Engineer

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for an Instrument/Functional Safety Engineer to work for our client located in Saltend, Hull. This is a contract opportunity working 40 hours per week, until the end of August 2026.

Description:

The role is to back fill the Instrument/FS Asset Engineer whilst on a secondment, and will conduct Business as usual Asset Engineering Activities, including supporting a DSEAR and Functional Safety projects on site. We will be looking for the following
 
* Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Instrument discipline (or equivalent)
 
* Incorporated / Chartered membership of relevant institute
 
* Good working knowledge of EC&I industry related legislation and Standards i.e. DSEAR
2002, BS7671, BSEN 60079, BSEN 60947, BSEN 62271, BSEN
61511

ETC
 
* TUV FS Engineer or Equivalent.
 
* Experience in a 24/7 industrial environment including:
Positive SHE commitment & contributions Maintenance contract management. Operations interface & procedure. Legislative, best practice standards & insurance compliance
