Assistant Accountant / Accounts Manager - ADVANCED EXCEL SKILLS REQUIRED £40k FTE (pro rata for 25 hours per week) 25 hours a week (4 days - flexile on hours) Overview Working with the Director, I am looking to recruit an Accounts Manager to oversea a small accounts department, you should be competent with Management Accounts and Payroll Good Sage and Excel Skills are essential This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working independently, and is confident overseeing the full financial function.

Key Responsibilities Overseeing the full day-to-day management of the Finance Department Leading financial planning, forecasting, and budget control Managing cash flow, banking, and financial risk Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls Overseeing payroll accuracy and statutory compliance Managing general ledger integrity, invoicing, and reconciliations Producing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end and year-end processes Preparing financial reports and insights for senior leadership Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications & Experience Strong proficiency in Sage (preferred) or other accounting software Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualification or part-qualified or Qualified by Experience Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and maintain high standards of accuracy
