Financial Accountant

Finance Accountant Essex | Hybrid | Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum  Benefits We're recruiting for a Finance Accountant to join a well-established and growing business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities Manage sales and purchase ledger activities Raise invoices and support credit control processes Complete bank reconciliations and cash allocations Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns Assist with month-end reporting, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets Produce contract cost reports and support management accounts Maintain accurate financial records and support external audits About You AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA Previous experience in a finance or accounting role Knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations Experience preparing VAT and CIS returns Sage accounting software experience preferred Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail What's on Offer 24 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme with employer contribution Death in Service benefit Health Cash Plan Employee Assistance Programme Enhanced family-friendly policies Long service awards Cycle to Work scheme This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and established organisation.
