Manufacturing Hays Senior Finance Interim & Contract Team are currently supporting a successful and growing manufacturing business in the Taunton area with the appointment of an experienced Interim Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to join a busy finance team and provide key support across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis during a period of sustained growth and operational activity.

Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Prepare detailed variance analysis and financial commentary. Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple departments. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls. Prepare accruals, prepayments and journal entries. Assist with cashflow forecasting and working capital reporting. Partner with operational and production teams to support business performance. Analyse manufacturing costs, margins and stock movements.

Support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with the preparation of KPI reporting packs for senior management. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within finance. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and project support as required. About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience. Previous Management Accountant experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment. Strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Experience analysing stock, inventory and manufacturing costs would be advantageous. Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail. Able to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Comfortable working independently and adding value quickly within an interim assignment. Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, Sage or similar would be beneficial. The Opportunity Immediate start available.

Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension. Up to £275 per day 5 days per week onsite in the Taunton area.
