Assistant Accountant Salary £32-38K Location Carlisle Start Date ASAP Are you an ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant looking for the next step in your finance career? This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join a growing and supportive finance team. Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function while continuing to develop your knowledge and experience. The Opportunity This is a fantastic role for someone who is AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA, with a genuine desire to progress into a Management Accountant or more senior finance position in the future.

You will gain valuable exposure across a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments Completing balance sheet reconciliations Supporting the month-end and year-end processes Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Supporting cash flow reporting Investigating variances and providing financial analysis Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory reporting Working closely with colleagues across the wider business Supporting continuous improvement projects and the development of finance processes About You We are looking for someone who is:
Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or actively studying towards a professional qualification An ambitious and motivated finance professional looking to develop their career Ideally experienced within an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role Comfortable working with Excel and financial systems Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Keen to learn, take on new responsibilities and develop professionally A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team What's on Offer?
