Finance Operations Manager

Reed Finance are currently assisting an established client in the local area in the recruitment of a Financial Operations Manager to oversee the financial operations of their UK shared services organisation. This role ensures accuracy, compliance and efficiency across AP, bank, inter-company, and GL activities. The successful candidate will manage a team of 3, support the transactional side of 5 international legal entities, and act as the go-to person for day-to-day financial transactions.

Day-to-day of the role:
Prepare monthly management accounts for 5 legal entities within a 4-day close. Review monthly control account reconciliations both internally and quarterly for ARC (Account reconciliations US Internal reporting). Approve and release AP bank payments and review and approve all journal entries. Manage international treasury for over 20 bank accounts in various countries/currencies, including cash flow forecasting and debt settlement with US parent.

Systematise the preparation of materials for the UK consolidated audit to facilitate auditor access via D365/supporting platforms. Support inventory management including stock takes, goods-in-transit, and discrepancy management. Manage day-to-day intercompany and intracompany processes for both trade and non-trade transactions. Maintain effective communication and development within the shared service team. Undertake various ad hoc projects as required by the International Finance Director.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred. 3–5 years’ experience in accounting with a strong emphasis on international finance. Proven experience managing intercompany and currency transactions. Proficiency in advanced Excel and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in managing and liaising with external auditors. High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Desirable:
Fluency in a foreign language, experience in diverse cultural settings, Microsoft Dynamics (D365) experience, and inventory management/supply side partnering. Benefits:
