Commercial Management Accountant

Ideal Heating, part of Groupe Atlantic, is looking for a commercially focused Management Accountant to support its finance team and wider business as it continues to grow.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you’ll work closely with operational teams and senior leaders to monitor performance, identify opportunities to improve and encourage best practice across the function. It’s a varied, hands-on role where strong accounting skills go hand in hand with commercial awareness.

• Join an established heating giant with deep roots in Hull, operating from two local sites and a newly purpose-built R&D facility.
• Be a part of the journey as it builds on its long history in gas heating and moves into the heat pump market, playing a part in the UK’s shift towards lower‑carbon heating.
• Help improve month-end reporting as the business continues to grow, making a visible contribution to how the wider organisation uses its financial information.
• Work across multiple entities and alongside operational teams, gaining broad commercial exposure beyond the finance function.

• Produce accurate and timely management accounts across multiple entities.
• Provide clear financial insight and commentary to senior management.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the balance sheet and complete monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly group financial submissions in line with reporting rules and local GAAP requirements.
• Produce quarterly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts.
• Maintain customer master data and pricing integrity in SAP, supporting the sales team and external customers with pricing queries.
• Support the Head of Financial Reporting with other ad hoc financial requests.

• CIMA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.

• Clear communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
