Are you compassionate, organised, and passionate about helping others? We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiotherapy Clinical Support Worker to join our dedicated team at the Queen's Centre, Castle Hill Hospital – part of the Humber Health Partnership.

This role is vital in supporting patients throughout their radiotherapy journey. You'll work alongside therapeutic radiographers and the wider oncology team to provide hands‑on care, reassurance and practical support, ensuring every patient feels informed and cared for.

The post holder will be involved in the direct care of all radiotherapy patients from being an active member of the pre‑treatment team at the CT scan through to their treatment and its completion, providing technical treatment information and giving advice on radiotherapy reactions.

Cannulation and venipuncture competencies are required but can be gained once in the role.

The post holder will have CPD opportunities to keep up to date with radiotherapy advances, providing advice and information to patients. They will also be involved in teaching radiotherapy students and new staff.

Essential: Good standard of education to GCSE/NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.

Desirable: Previous NHS experience.

Essential: Excellent computer skills including use of databases.

Desirable: Experience working with patients with a cancer diagnosis; ability to work with a variety of IT software programmes.

Essential: Excellent organisational and communication skills; ability to plan ahead and work under pressure; knowledge/understanding of oncology and/or haematology pathways.

Desirable: Knowledge of medical terminology.

Essential: Self‑motivated and able to work independently; flexible approach to work, including on call and bank holiday work; punctual, reliable, honest; positive attitude; motivated to continue professional development; participation in service development; compliance with occupational health screening.

Desirable: Flexible approach to hours and conditions; polite telephone manner and face‑to‑face interpersonal skills; good team worker.
