Overview

An exciting opportunity within the Endoscopy Decontamination Unit for the Humber Health Partnership. The unit operates across three sites (Castle Hill Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary and Sterile Services on Harrow Street) and supports Endoscopy care. Full training on how to process endoscopes for medical use is provided and a clean driving licence is required.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the decontamination and processing of flexible endoscopes and operate equipment to ensure safe and effective production of goods received and dispatched from the reprocessing units.
  • Safely and securely transport contaminated devices into the department and ensure timely despatch of processed products to the procedure suites.
  • Hold a full driving licence to drive a Trust vehicle for delivering and transporting scopes within working hours.
  • Collect data in accordance with unit procedures and ensure results are processed and stored daily; work supervised and be accountable to the Senior Endoscopy Supervisor.
