The Perfusion Department at Castle Hill Hospital is excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Perfusion Scientist to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about advancing their career in perfusion science and delivering high-quality patient care.

Applicants may initially join at Band 7 with a clear development pathway to Band 8a. International candidates can gain full UK registration through a structured training program in collaboration with Bristol University.

• Deliver high-quality patient care and safe management of patients' physiological functions within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide specialist clinical perfusion services, including cardiopulmonary bypass and complex blood coagulation assays.
• Interpret and report test results to staff and maintain intense concentration during routine and specialist perfusion techniques.
• Adapt to dynamic clinical environment, emergency procedures, and critical situations.
• Participate in the department's on-call rota, ensuring smooth operation of a 24‑hour service.

• Masters level or equivalent in Perfusion Science.
• Accredited by the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.
• Professional registration with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.

• Masters level knowledge of routine and specialised clinical techniques.
• Deliver specialist training to the wider multi‑disciplinary team where appropriate.
• Knowledge of clinical hazards and emergency procedures.
• Up‑to‑date with latest developments.

• IT skills, including hospital database and perfusion software.
• Accuracy, time management, and teamwork.
• Ability to maintain intense concentration and interact with patients and relatives.
• Effective leadership skills and teaching capability.
