Overview
This varied and rewarding Pharmacy Technician role combines clinical, technical, and administrative responsibilities within a modern, digitally enabled Pharmacy Hub. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting safe prescribing, medicines optimisation, and high-quality patient care across the Partnership. Working under the supervision of the Lead Clinical Pharmacist, you will use your technical expertise to support clinicians, improve prescribing processes, and help patients gain the maximum benefit from their medicines.
Responsibilities- Support medicines optimisation and safe prescribing across the Partnership
- Undertake medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge and other care transitions
- Support repeat prescribing processes and medication reviews
- Assist with structured medication reviews and high-risk drug monitoring within your competency
- Respond to pharmacy-related patient enquiries and support medicines advice services
- Complete prescribing audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with Clinical Pharmacists, GPs, prescribing teams, and pharmacy administrators
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with prescribing policies and procedures
- Use digital systems and innovative technologies to improve patient access and prescribing efficiency
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Pharmacy Hub and new models of care

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join us at West Hull Health Hub on a part time/full-time basis (22.5- 37.5 hours per week). This is far more than a traditional Pharmacy Technician role.
Working alongside Clinical Pharmacists, GPs, prescribing teams, pharmacy administrators and supported by innovative digital technologies such as online consultations, you will help deliver safe, effective and patient-centred prescribing services across the Partnership.
Your expertise will contribute to improving medicines optimisation, supporting patients with their health outcomes, and ensuring prescribing processes are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with best practice.
