Overview
Due to continued growth, Well Gear is seeking a skilled and motivated HR Advisor to join its expanding and dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s development while contributing to a dedicated and close-knit workforce.
Role: HR Advisor is responsible for providing expert HR leadership across the employee lifecycle. The role partners with senior leaders to deliver workforce initiatives that support business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with UK employment legislation. The postholder will promote good employee relations, talent management, organisational development and change initiatives within a complex, highly regulated, and safety-critical environment.
Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership- HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with senior leaders on organisational design, and succession planning.
- Support organisational growth, restructuring, and transformation projects.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance initiatives.
- Lead complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, performance, and redundancy cases.
- Provide expert guidance on UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Manage employment-related risk and support legal proceedings where required.
- Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Provide HR leadership for change, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
- Support consultation processes and employee communications.
- Coach leaders through organisational change and workforce challenges.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and company policies.
- Maintain effective HR policies, systems, reporting, and governance processes.
- Support equality, diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing initiatives.
- Monitor key workforce metrics including recruitment, turnover, absence, and engagement.
- Provide HR insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery.
- Support day-to day HR administration, including maintaining employee records, issuing contracts of employment, and preparing HR reports.
- Assist in the recruitment process, support new employee onboarding, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong expertise in employee relations and UK employment law.
- Experience advising senior leaders and executive teams.
- Experience leading organisational change.
- Experience in the energy, oil and gas, engineering, offshore, or related sectors is desirable.
