We’re looking for a People Development Executive to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. You will work closely with the People Development Manager to design, deliver, and facilitate learning activity across a range of projects designed to help our line managers and colleagues build their careers in a time of change. You will truly be the face of the team who brings our learning to life.
While your primary focus is helping this programme of work land effectively, you will also be an active part of the wider People Development team. You will work closely with team members to ensure our learning designs align with broader talent and development strategies and help deliver key team initiatives and campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for an L&D practitioner who enjoys group facilitation, practical content design, and partnering closely with stakeholders to make learning experiences truly relevant.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating or co-facilitating interactive workshops, check-ins, and discussion circles across virtual, face-to-face, and blended environments.
- Establishing an inclusive, supportive, and psychologically safe environment where participants feel comfortable sharing experiences and asking questions during times of organisational change.
- Adapting your facilitation style for various groups, including leadership teams, line managers, programme ambassadors, and all-colleague populations.
- Leading sessions focusing on essential workplace topics, including navigating change, personal resilience, career ownership, line manager capability, objective setting, and coaching conversations.
- Partnering with the People Development Manager to create and update learning resources, participant workbooks, presentation slides, quick-reference guides, and toolkits.
- Designing resources and check-ins specifically aimed at building line manager confidence in leading teams through ambiguity, as well as core capability areas like AI tool usage, influencing, creative problem solving, and commercial awareness.
- Working closely with People Business Partners, internal communications, programme ambassadors, and managers to understand specific needs, gather feedback, and share updates on the learning offer.
- Evaluating how effectively learning interventions land by tracking shifts in manager confidence and translating qualitative observations into clear themes and insights.
- Partnering with the Coordinator to review evaluation data and refine session designs and resources as business needs evolve.
- Helping colleagues navigate career development tools and skills-building platforms while supporting broader R&D projects or providing cover during team holidays/absences.
- Direct experience working within a Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organisation Development, or People-focused team.
- Ideally CIPD Level 3–5 qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
- Ideally a certificate or qualification in Coaching, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven confidence facilitating workshops, training sessions, webinars, or group discussions.
- Experience designing, adapting, or curating learning materials, slides, workbooks, or toolkits.
- Experience building collaborative relationships and managing expectations with stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate development concepts into simple, human language.
