The Role:
As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will lead and deliver Power BI projects for external customers, working across a wide range of industries. You'll be responsible for understanding client needs, designing robust data models, and producing insightful dashboards that support better decision‑making.
You'll collaborate closely with our Sage 200 implementation team, helping customers extend their system with meaningful analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver end‑to‑end Power BI projects for external clients, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Design and build Power BI dashboards, data models, and interactive reports tailored to customer needs.
Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes to support reporting and integration.
Work with Sage 200 and other business systems to extract, transform, and model data.
Run workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to customers.
Advise clients on BI best practices, data governance, and reporting strategy.
About you:
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience delivering BI or reporting projects in a client‑facing or consultancy role.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, etc.).
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Experience working with Sage 200 data structures is highly desirable (but not essential).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, customer‑focused mindset
