Working Hours:
9am till 5pm Sheffield City Council are seeking a Service Support & Helpdesk Officer to provide crucial support within their Property and Regeneration department. This role is integral to managing the Council’s extensive land and property assets and ensuring the delivery of property solutions that support service delivery, regeneration, and growth. Day-to-day of the role:
Manage the Council’s operational and non-operational estates, including facilities management, revenue generation, and community lettings. Handle right to buy applications, property disposals for development, land acquisitions for regeneration, and provide ratings advice and asset valuations. Deliver excellent customer service, acting as the first point of contact for property-related queries via email, phone, or face-to-face interactions. Log, allocate, and respond to all property enquiries, including those from MPs, councillors, and FOI requests.
Manage the Right to Buy appointment booking system and update the service asset management database. Provide technical support, performance management, and the collation of management information to ensure a professional, efficient, and cost-effective service. Review current working practices to enhance resource use and improve customer experience. Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, manage client data, and support the development of communication plans.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Strong administrative background with key experience in property management. Proficient in modern office productivity applications and software such as Technology Forge, ArcGIS, Integra. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong team player with effective communication skills across various platforms. Experience in handling large volumes of data and presenting management information. Knowledge in designing and processing mailouts, receiving tenders, and administering social media in liaison with service and communications teams.
