Position: Marine Account Handler / Techncian
Your new company An expanding and ambitious London Market insurance broker is seeking a Marine Account Handler / Technician to join its growing team. The organisation is a dynamic and entrepreneurial business with a strong presence in the marine insurance space, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across Hull and War risks. Your new role In this role, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio, providing full end-to-end technical support across marine insurance accounts. You will be responsible for preparing and processing market documentation, including slips, endorsements and client documentation, ensuring all outputs are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. You will manage the placement process, including submission of risks via electronic platforms and direct engagement with underwriters, while ensuring accurate and timely processing of premiums, debit and credit notes and policy documentation.

The position also involves managing renewals and mid-term adjustments efficiently, maintaining strong relationships with both clients and the market. Working closely with placing brokers, you will provide technical expertise across Hull and War placements while supporting the wider team in delivering a high level of service. The role offers exposure to all aspects of the broking life cycle and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and development of the business.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you must have experience within the London Insurance Market in a similar technical or account handling role. You will bring strong knowledge of marine insurance processes, including experience creating market reform contracts, handling endorsements and processing premiums. You will be confident working in a busy and fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, brokers and underwriters are essential. Alongside technical ability, the organisation is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who will complement a close-knit and motivated team. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £90,000 (dependent on experience), alongside opportunities for progression and involvement in the wider business.
