Cumbria Law Centre Trainee Solicitor

Cumbria Law Centre is looking for a Trainee Solicitor. The position is suitable for an individual working towards legal qualification as a solicitor either via the LPC or the SQE. The role would involve the development of skills and knowledge in housing law plus welfare benefits and debt. Trainee roles at law centres are very ‘hands on’ and so the candidate will quickly be undertaking client work depending on their experience and rate of progress.

This might start with triage level work but could go on to include full advice and representation, including at court in housing cases.

Cumbria Law Centre is a community organisation offering free legal advice and representation to people who live or work in the county. They prioritise those on the lowest incomes and they focus on civil, social welfare law in Housing, Employment, Debt and Welfare Benefit matters.
