Forklift Operator

Location: Peterhead with occasional travel to Aberdeen

Duration: Temporary (until approximately September)

• Conduct daily forklift checks, assist in maintenance work as required, and complete all associated compliance documentation.
• Visually inspect cargo prior to lifting to identify and report all snagging hazards, loose objects, and non‑compliances.
• Regularly review procedures, work aids and risk assessments.
• Conduct yard and gantry inspection duties, and assist in other areas of operational requirements, as required.
• Continuously promote a pro‑active HSSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance, regularly reviewing procedures and risk assessments.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of customer service, processes and cost effectiveness.

• Accustomed to working effectively in a fast‑paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
• Numerate, with strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work stand‑alone while also being a positive contributor to the wider team.
• Solutions based, strong analytical, planning & organising skills, an excellent attention to detail.

• Current forklift licence.

• Banksman Slinger ticket.
