Overview

Responsible for the effective and humane control of pests and birds, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest and bird issues, entry points, and contributing factors.
  • Develop and implement tailored pest and bird management plans using a variety of techniques, including trapping, baiting, exclusion, and deterrent systems.
  • Apply pesticides and other control agents safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions, company policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Install and maintain bird proofing solutions such as netting, spikes, and wires.
  • Educate clients on pest prevention measures and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and client communications.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Pest Control Technician, specifically with bird control, is highly desirable.
  • Relevant pest control qualifications (e.g., BPCA/RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management or equivalent) are essential.
  • Full UK driving license with a clean record.
  • Strong understanding of pest biology, behavior, and control methods.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to pest control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and observational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at height (with appropriate safety training).
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
