Maintenance Fitter - Days

Salary: £41,125.50 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (Days Only)

We’re looking for a skilled Day Shift Fitter to join our team at Poplars AD Plant. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping our anaerobic digestion facility running safely, efficiently and reliably through proactive maintenance and rapid fault response.

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across the plant.
• Diagnose faults quickly and carry out effective repairs.
• Support installation work and equipment improvements.
• Drive plant reliability, uptime and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with operations teams to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate specialist maintenance activities with contractors.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes and root cause analysis.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced process, manufacturing, waste, water or industrial environment.
• Understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles.
• Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to breakdowns.
• Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification preferred.
