About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in shopfitting and retail fit-out projects to join our growing team based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and hands-on professional who can oversee multiple projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will manage nationwide retail and commercial fit-out projects, working closely with clients, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple shopfitting and interior fit-out projects simultaneously
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgets, and resource allocation
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
* Conduct site visits and progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
* Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with H&S regulations
* Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
* Support procurement and cost control activities
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the shopfitting or retail fit-out sector
* Strong understanding of fast-track retail refurbishment projects
* Excellent project management and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple live projects across the UK
* Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* SMSTS qualification
* CSCS card
* Experience working with major retail brands
* Joinery or construction background
