Multi-Skilled Engineer - Food Manufacturing; Electrical Bias

Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer - Food Manufacturing (Electrical Bias)
Location: Kingston upon Hull

A highly successful and growing food manufacturing business supplying major UK retailers is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join its engineering team.
Operating within a fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimal downtime and continuous improvement across the site.
Working on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-invested manufacturing operation where engineering is viewed as a core driver of operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and packaging equipment
 
* Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime
 
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across manufacturing machinery
 
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
 
* Work closely with production teams to maintain high operational performance
 
* Ensure all engineering work complies with food safety and health & safety standards
 
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS system
About You
We are looking for an engineer with experience within fast-paced manufacturing environments, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG.
Experience required:
 
* Strong electrical fault finding skills
 
* Multi-skilled engineering capability (electrical & mechanical)
 
* Experience with in manufacturing / FMCG / food production environments
 
* Understanding of preventative maintenance systems
 
* Engineering qualification (NVQ / HNC / HND or equivalent preferred)
