Multi-Skilled Engineer - Food Manufacturing; Electrical Bias

A highly successful and growing food manufacturing business supplying major UK retailers is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join its engineering team.

Operating within a fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimal downtime and continuous improvement across the site.

Working on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-invested manufacturing operation where engineering is viewed as a core driver of operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and packaging equipment
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across manufacturing machinery
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
• Work closely with production teams to maintain high operational performance
• Ensure all engineering work complies with food safety and health & safety standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS system

About You

We are looking for an engineer with experience within fast-paced manufacturing environments, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG.

Experience required:

• Strong electrical fault finding skills
• Multi-skilled engineering capability (electrical & mechanical)
• Experience with in manufacturing / FMCG / food production environments
• Understanding of preventative maintenance systems
• Engineering qualification (NVQ / HNC / HND or equivalent preferred)
