HU7, Hull

Hours:

Monday-Thursday, 5:30pm - 03:45am (39 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £13.70 per hour

About the Role

We're recruiting a Night Shift Manufacturing Labourer to join a well‑established manufacturing business in the HU7 area. Working within a busy timber production environment, you'll support the night shift team to ensure materials, machinery and finished products are ready for the next day's production runs.

This is a physical, hands‑on role where you'll play a key part in keeping production flowing efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Timber & Material Handling

Moving timber and other materials safely around the workshop
Loading raw materials into production machinery
Unloading and stacking finished products ready for dispatch or next‑day use
Preparing materials for morning production teams (cut, stacked, labelled, organised)

Manufacturing & Production Support

Operating machinery and tools safely (training provided)
Feeding timber through saws, presses or assembly equipment
Conducting basic quality checks on materials and finished pieces
Reporting any defects or issues to the shift supervisor
Keeping production areas clean, tidy and hazard‑free
Assisting with assembling timber components typical in caravan construction (frames, panels, flooring sections)

General Night Shift Duties

Completing shift documentation
Following health & safety, manual‑handling and PPE requirements at all times
Supporting colleagues to ensure production targets are met
Ensuring all equipment is shut down safely at end of shift
