Cross Cut Saw Operative - Night Shift | HU7
£15.94 per hour | Monday-Thursday Nights
We're currently recruiting for an experienced Cross Cut Saw Operative to join a busy and well-established caravan manufacturing team based in the HU7 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and quality workmanship within a fast-paced production environment.

5:30pm - 3:45am
Pay Rate: £15.94 per hour (includes £1.50 night shift allowance)
Long weekend every week - Friday off
Key Responsibilities
As a Cross Cut Saw Operative, your duties will include:
Operating cross cut saw machinery to cut timber, boards, and other materials to specification
Reading and interpreting cutting lists, measurements, and production instructions
Setting up and adjusting saw equipment for different materials and job requirements
Ensuring all cuts are accurate and meet required quality standards
Carrying out basic machine maintenance and identifying faults where necessary
Measuring and preparing materials prior to processing
Performing regular quality checks to maintain consistency and precision
Supporting wider production teams where required
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
Working to production targets and following team leader instructions
Adhering to all health and safety procedures when operating machinery
Requirements
Previous experience operating a cross cut saw or similar woodworking machinery - essential
Experience with in caravan, furniture, joinery, or modular manufacturing - desirable
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to accurately read measurements and follow technical instructions
Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
Reliable, hardworking, and capable of working independently
Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
