Apprentice Service Technician - Flowplant Group Ltd
Join Flowplant as an Apprentice Service Technician, learning to manufacture, assemble, and test high‑pressure pumps and systems.
Responsibilities- Learn to manufacture and assemble pumps and systems.
- Work with diesel, hydraulic and electric drives.
- Apply mechanical and basic electrical skills.
- Test and perform quality control on assembled products, including high‑pressure unit, pump and water‑jetting accessory testing.
- Use hand tools, basic machining, and maintain manufacturing documentation.
- Interact with components that are welded, machined, plated or powder‑coated, and involved in material processing.
- Safety mind‑set: manage self and support others to maintain a safe working environment in line with local procedures and national and European requirements.

- Obtain, check and use the appropriate documentation (job instructions, drawings, quality control documentation).
- Obtain, check and use the appropriate materials, tools, equipment and consumables.
- Select and set up the correct tooling and work‑holding devices.
- NC Mechanical Engineering SCQF Level 6.
- Four National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above, including Mathematics and a Science subject.
- Depot service, commissioning new machines and fault finding on bespoke water jetting equipment.
- Work from depot and receive training at the manufacturer’s main assembly plant in Wiltshire, with ongoing support from head office technical and admin teams.
- Overseas service and commissioning trips may be available.
- Competitive salary; not the minimum apprentice wage, salaries are experience dependent.
