Quarry Operative

An exciting opportunity for a flexible, self-motivated and positive individual to work as a member of the Quarry Production team at Dowlow Quarry. Shift working will be a requirement of the job role, including some weekend work.

Key Responsibilities Operating to high health, safety and environmental standards. Loading at the face with either a wheeled loader or 360 excavator. Hauling materials from the quarry face to the crusher. Operation of the processing systems. First line maintenance and housekeeping duties. Health and Safety is the number one priority in all aspects of our quarrying operations and the successful candidate will be required to contribute and assist with the continuous improvement of safety standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above, Maths and English Operation of wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry applications, ADT & rigid truck operation or processing plant experience NVQ level 2 or MPQC qualified in truck, excavator and loader operations Excellent safety awareness Operational experience in quarrying The Group places the highest importance on sustained standards of excellence in all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental management and you will be expected to contribute to the Company’s zero harm culture.
