Great safety cultures don't happen by accident. They're built by people who care. At Crown Paints, we know that creating a safe and supportive workplace is about more than policies, procedures and ticking boxes. It's about people looking out for one another, having the confidence to speak up and knowing that everyone has a part to play in getting home safely at the end of the day.

We're looking for an experienced HSE Manager to join our manufacturing team in Hull, someone who enjoys being out on the shop floor, building relationships and turning health, safety and environmental standards into everyday good practice. This is an opportunity to make a real difference at one of our key manufacturing sites.

If you're passionate about making workplaces safer, enjoy working with people and want to see the impact of your work first‑hand, we'd love to hear from you. Your influence. Our people. A safer future.

As our HSE Manager, you'll take the lead on day-to-day health, safety and environmental activities at our Hull site, working alongside our Senior HSE Manager UK & ROI and a wider team who share your commitment to doing things well. You'll have the opportunity to influence how we work, challenge existing practices and introduce improvements that make a genuine difference. From supporting colleagues on the production floor to working with site leadership, you'll play an important part in making safety everyone's priority.

  • Keeping us safe and compliant:
Ensure our site meets relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, including COSHH, RIDDOR, PUWER and LOLER.
  • Learning from every experience:
Lead and support incident investigations, helping teams identify root causes, share lessons learned and put meaningful improvements in place.
  • Supporting our high standards:
Help maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and BES 6001 requirements, working closely with colleagues across Operations.
  • Giving people the confidence to work safely:
Identify training needs, provide practical guidance and make sure colleagues have the knowledge and support they need.
