Registered Nurse (RGN) Night Nurse Nursing Home £22.00 per hour | 37.5 Hours per Week | Permanent Nights Are You an Experienced RGN Looking for a Permanent Night Nurse Role? Are you a compassionate Registered General Nurse (RGN) looking for a permanent night position within a supportive and well-established nursing home? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Registered Nurse (RGN) to join their dedicated night team, providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys the responsibility and autonomy of night nursing while still being part of an experienced and supportive care team. A Role Where Your Clinical Experience Really Matters As the Registered Nurse on nights, you will take clinical responsibility for residents throughout your shift while leading and supporting the night care team.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising the night care team Assessing, monitoring and responding to residents' clinical needs Administering medication safely and accurately Completing scheduled and PRN medication rounds Carrying out clinical observations, wound care and other nursing procedures Responding appropriately to falls, emergencies and changes in residents' health Ensuring residents receive appropriate repositioning, continence care and comfort checks Reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation Liaising with out-of-hours GPs, NHS 111 and emergency services when required Communicating professionally with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals Following safeguarding and infection-control procedures Providing a comprehensive clinical handover to the day team Promoting residents' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing throughout the night What We're Looking For To be considered for this position, you will need:
Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification Current NMC registration and valid PIN Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision-making skills A compassionate and genuinely person-centred approach Good leadership, communication and organisational skills The confidence to lead and support a care team throughout the night The ability to remain calm and make appropriate clinical decisions in an emergency A strong commitment to dignity, safeguarding and high-quality resident care Previous experience within a nursing home, care home, dementia care or older-person care environment would be highly beneficial.
