Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are delighted to be preparing for the launch of a brand-new veterinary hospital in Hull, further expanding our services across Yorkshire. Our new Hull hospital will enable us to provide affordable, high-quality veterinary care to even more pets and their owners across East Yorkshire. Hull will be set to open its doors in January 2027.

Animal Trust is an independently owned, not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) providing accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our hospital will offer continuous patient care and emergency services, supporting both our clients and the wider veterinary community.

Our commitment to affordability sets us apart. With free consultations during the day and £79 out-of-hours consultations, we remove barriers that can prevent pet owners from seeking veterinary advice. Combined with our transparent packaged pricing, this allows us to see a varied and rewarding caseload, providing excellent opportunities for our clinical teams to develop their skills and experience.

As an inpatient A+E vet you will oversee the inpatient care and emergency cases coming through our A+E service, ensuring a exciting mix of medically bias cases. Your primary responsibility will be to meet the needs of our inpatients, whether performing emergency procedures yourself or coordinating with our skilled team to provide comprehensive care.

Core Skills

To be successful in this role you’ll have a social heart, be highly skilled and keen to progress your technical capability. You may already be an experienced vet, but it’s important that you’re a real team player that enjoys the buzz that comes from working in a fast-paced and busy environment.

You’ll share our vision for working within a not-for-profit environment and you’ll be keen to work as part of a highly skilled and experienced team and commit to providing the highest standard of care to owners and their pets.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with clients during stressful and upsetting situations
  • Strong organisation skills, open, honest and trustworthy
