At Saleems Takeaway, located in the centre of the neighbourhood, we are looking for an assistant to join our vibrant team. This position is essential to maintaining the seamless and effective functioning of our business, supporting our goal of providing exceptional culinary experiences. Adaptability is crucial in this fast‑paced, demanding role. Candidates should be quick learners and are offered training where needed.

• Help with food preparation while maintaining strict food safety regulations.
• Serve food and take orders to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Keep the dining room and kitchen spotless and well‑organised.
• Work along with the culinary crew to guarantee prompt meal delivery.
• Help with stock checks to aid inventory management.
• Interact with consumers to advertise menu items and, if suitable, upsell.
• Comply with all occupational health and safety requirements.

• Ideal: prior experience working in a restaurant or takeaway setting.
• Strong familiarity with food safety procedures.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Capacity to perform well under duress in a hectic setting.
• Fundamental mathematical abilities for managing transactions.
• Effective task prioritisation and time‑management abilities.
• Applications from students and foreigners will be accepted for the position as long as they can provide proof of employment in the UK.
