Chirrup.ai is looking for an experienced business development professional to help scale our nature monitoring platform. We’re in our fourth year of growth, with demand rising and recognition from WWF, Edie, Business Green, and a nomination for the Earthshot Prize.

We use AI-powered bioacoustic monitoring to turn birdsong into biodiversity data — giving farmers, food businesses, and conservation organisations the nature insights they need. We hold annual recurring revenue contracts with blue‑chip agri‑food companies (see our case studies ), 22TB of unique ground‑truthed data, and over 70,000 hours of monitoring across the UK.

We’re actively building commercial routes to market across:

• Dairy farming
• Poultry, beef, lamb and pork production
• Estate‑based wildlife monitoring

This is a fractional or contract role with a pathway to equity options for the right person. You’ll work directly with our founder — who brings warm leads, an active network, and a strong public profile — to close high-value deals that shape our commercial strategy.

You’ll be joining a mission‑driven team with supportive investors and a thoroughly market-tested technology stack.

• Proven experience selling into food corporations, agribusiness, or landowners
• Ability to navigate investor‑led sustainability initiatives that influence supply chain reporting
• Sharp commercial instincts — you can read real sales signals and close big deals
• Comfortable with startup pace: autonomy, flexibility, and some ambiguity
• Based in the UK (European candidates considered)

We’re open to a day rate or fractional salary, plus a success‑based component. Equity options may be available subject to a probationary period and results.
