Industrial Electrician​/Electrical Technician

Position: Industrial Electrician / Electrical Technician (Permanent)

Negotiable, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced industrial electrician / electrical technician, the role will be based out of our Hull workshop so it is essential that you live or are willing to base yourself within commuting distance of this location. There will be frequent visits to our client sites and this will involve a small, occasional amount of staying away from home may be required.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Installing electrical systems across a range of industrial sites.

* Installation of cable containment and fabrication of associated support systems.

* Fault finding and repair of electrical systems.

* Testing of installations.

* Interpreting engineering drawings, schedules and vendor specifications.

* Liaison with clients, contractors and appropriate authorities.
* ‘Red pen’ construction drawings and documentation.

* Leading a small team or working as part of a larger team to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.

* Adherence to client & british regulations and standards.

* Mobile working at various sites across Yorkshire & Humberside, a company van and fuel card will be provided.

Essential Criteria

* Comp Ex EX01 – 04.

* Recognised professional qualifications in electrical installation.

* At least 5 years experience in industrial electrical / instrumentation installation.

* Experience in panel building / modification.

* Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated to deliver an excellent service.
Desirable Criteria

* Comp Ex EX

* City and Guilds 2391.

* Swagelok SBT trained.

* 10 years instrumentation / electrical installation experience.

* Familiarity with working on Oil, Gas, Petrochemical or industrial installations.

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
