Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Starting Salary: £38,220 opportunity to progress to £41,771 per annum (pro rata for part time) + £1000 welcome payment, lease car & relocation (terms apply) - pay award pending
Hours: 37 hours per week

AboutThe Role
As an Adult Care Services occupational therapist, you will hold your own caseload and work in partnership with people living in the community across Hertfordshire. You will undertake a holistic assessment of need to identify person‑centred outcomes.
We work in an enabling way with people and their families and carers, to promote independence and participation, through meaningful occupation and a strengths‑based approach. Across all our services we aim to ensure that people are provided with the right support and advice, and at the right time.
Our Adult Care Services Connected Lives practice principles are very much aligned to core occupational therapy values, with the ultimate aim of connecting you to the life you want to live.
We work collaboratively alongside social care colleagues, as well as with our health partners, housing and care providers, and a range of community support services.
The role will also include an opportunity to mentor and develop others.
About Our TeamsWe have vacancies in the following teams:
- Older People Service – Dacorum East, Hertfordshire Valleys
37 hours per week | Permanent
The Older Person Service is a dynamic service that works across the community under the Care Act to safeguard, assess, plan support and review adults and cares with long‑term health and social care needs. We can offer hybrid working arrangements, flexible working practices, community engagement and volunteer activities and, as part of our commitment to you, as well as promote your continuous learning & development.

Essential RequirementsAbout you:
- Occupational Therapy Degree
- Current registration with the HCPC
- To ensure practice is consistent with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ Professional standards for occupational therapy practice, conduct and ethics, and the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for Occupational therapy
- Knowledge and experience of relevant social care legislation, such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005
- To be a confident team member with good decision‑making skills
- The ability to work successfully with partners and other agencies
- A full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle for work purposes
